Program Overview

Your January in Amsterdam program lasts three weeks and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in one CIEE course taught at CIEE Amsterdam. Enhance your experience with extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Dutch culture. Live and learn in Amsterdam!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Amsterdam will open doors for you to explore the Netherlands' rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Experience a world-class theater or dance performance at a historic concert hall such as the Royal Concertgebouw 
  • Hear a guest lecture on key contemporary public health issues in the Netherlands from an expert in Dutch politics 
  • Take field trips in and around the city to get to know this accessible, environmentally conscious, and multicultural region
